PHISSUG Sessions – S01E04 – Database Security

The Philippine SQL Server Users Group (PHISSUG) is now back with it’s traditional database centric tech-talks at Microsoft Philippines, 8th Floor, 6750 Ayala Office Tower, 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati this Thursday, April 28, 2016. The event registration starts at 6:00 PM. The talks will end at 10:00 PM.

PHISSUG’s Sessions now resumes with the theme of “DATABASE SECURITY”

Database Security
With the recent successful breach at the Commission on Elections systems by hackers which resulted into the database being compromised, PHISSUG will be dedicating this episode in discussing basic and advanced database security in the SQL Server platform. Regular PHISSUG resource teamed up to present to you topics that will help you secure SQL Server so your databases are always protected.

  • Toto Gamboa, Microsoft MVP for Data Platform / SQL Server, presents basic must-have security for any SQL Server machine.
  • JonelleCastañeda, product owner at LanWorks Pte Ltd, demonstrates common SQL database exploit using SQL Injection.
  • Humprey Cogay, data engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise,presents database encryption at various database states.
  • Mike Corpus, PHISSUG pioneer, gives us some light talk about the group.
