Make It Mutual Presscon happened last May 27, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of B-Hotel Quezon City. The started around 11 AM. The Make It Mutual Presscon is about the launching of the vlog series about investing with Matteo Guidicelli and in partnership with Sun Life. Media people were invited to the event to know more about the event wherein most of the attendees are millenials as Sun Life is targeting more millenials to invest. The speakers for the event are Mr. Gerald Bautista, the head of Banks & Alternative Channels of Sun Life Asset Management Company Inc. (SLAMCI), Ms. Mylene Lopa, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Sun Life – Philippines, and Matteo Guidicelli, a known actor and the Brand Ambassador for Sun Life – Philippines.
Base on the research that Sun Life has made about what Filipinos think when they hear of investment, the number one answer is business and the next is property or real estate. About 80% of the Filipinos are still unbanked. The research also shows 80% of the millenials said that it is important to invest for the future but 87% of the millenials do not own any financial instruments and sadly, only 1% has actually invested in stocks and other types of investment.
Sun Life’s mission is to help educate the millenials to achieve their #lifegoals. They are targeting millenials as these are growing faster and more of the workforce consist of millenials. About 50% of the people employed in the Philippines last 2015 are millenials.
Matteo Guidicelli, the brand ambassador for Sun Life, has made a vlog series about investment titled “Make It Mutual”. The vlog series teaches the millenials about planning, saving and investing to achieve their #lifegoals. Matteo Guidicelli is a great role model for the millenials as he is a good example in planning for the future, saving his salaries and invest this in different instrumentalities such as mutual funds.
